What: T-Mobile operated by Wireless Vision in Bloomfield Hills, MI will host a giveback event at the Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries. Tavern on Broadway’s Food Truck & Wireless Vision Volunteers will be on site serving delicious meals.
Wireless Vision’s Got Your Back (WVGYB) began in 2012 and has since become Wireless Vision's Social Responsibility program. “Giving back is part of who we are. One of our core values is ‘Passion for our People’ and that doesn’t stay within our store walls,” says Saber Ammori, CEO of T-Mobile Operated by Wireless Vision. “We are passionate about our employees, customers and our communities.”
Why: Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries provides hope to the homeless, abused, and disadvantaged of our community. Founded in 1909 as a soup kitchen, Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries (DRMM, https://drmm.org) has grown to become America's largest rescue mission, providing life-changing services each day to as many as 2200 women and children, youth, seniors and veterans, helping them gain much-needed stability, sobriety and self-reliance. With a compassionate staff of nearly 300 and dedicated volunteers in excess of 13,000, this Dr. Chad Audi-led non profit's shelters, permanent housing programs, food banks, job training and placement, neighborhood revitalization initiatives, youth camps, tutoring and literacy programs, and substance abuse detox and treatment services span 5 Michigan counties.
